From the pool to the driving range

Start the day with a few lengths in the pool, play a game of tennis in the afternoon or end the day in the sauna. At De Ruwenberg Estate, you play sport and relax without leaving the grounds. Everything is included for hotel guests, daily from 06:00 to 23:00.

    Pool

    Swim a few lengths before breakfast, or let the day wind down in the water. The heated indoor pool is 7 by 14 metres and about 29 °C. Towels are provided, and there's no need to book.

    Sauna

    After a day of walking along the Dommel River, the sauna is a lovely place to warm up. In the wellness centre beneath the restaurant, you'll find two saunas and a drench shower. The saunas are mixed, and swimwear is required.

    Gym

    The gym is in the old farmhouse, about 50 metres from the hotel, with Technogym equipment: treadmills, spinning bikes, a cross trainer and strength equipment. The gym is unsupervised.

    Squash

    A quick game before dinner? The squash court is next to the gym in the old farmhouse. You can borrow rackets and balls free of charge at reception, where you can also book the court.

    Tennis

    The estate has two all-weather tennis courts in the grounds. Book a court free of charge at reception and borrow rackets and balls there too.

    Golf

    Practise your swing on the driving range with covered tees, or work on your short game on the putting green and the chipping green. Borrow golf clubs free of charge at reception. A token for about 45 golf balls costs € 7,50.

    Cycling and walking

    From the estate, you cycle or walk straight into the Brabant countryside, along the Dommel or to Den Bosch. Pick up free routes at reception, where you can hire bikes too: an electric bike for € 35 per day, a bike with gears for € 20 per day and a tandem for € 35 per half day or € 60 per day. Please book a tandem 24 hours in advance.

Business Sportsclub 7

Business Sportsclub 7 is the estate's own sports club. With a six-month or annual membership, you play sport and relax on the estate seven days a week, even if you're not staying overnight. A membership is available for one or two people.

Questions about sport and wellness

  • Yes. The two saunas in the wellness centre are mixed. They are open daily from 06:00 to 23:00.

  • Yes. As a hotel guest, you use the pool, the saunas, the gym, the squash court and the tennis courts at no extra charge, daily from 06:00 to 23:00.

  • Yes, on request at reception. An electric bike costs € 35 per day, a bike with gears € 20 per day and a tandem € 35 per half day or € 60 per day. Walking and cycling routes are free.

  • Yes. With a membership of Business Sportsclub 7, the estate's own sports club, you can use all sport and wellness facilities without limit for six months or a year. Ask about the options at reception.

  • You don't need to book for the pool and the saunas. You can book the tennis courts and the squash court free of charge at reception.

  • No. There's a driving range with covered tees, a putting green and a chipping green. Borrow golf clubs free of charge at reception. A token for about 45 golf balls costs € 7,50.

  • The wellness centre has a heated indoor pool, two saunas and a drench shower. For sport, there's a gym, a squash court, two all-weather tennis courts, a mini football pitch and a driving range with putting green. In the garden, you'll find a boules court, a chess set and a table tennis table.
